Description
The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration has announced a major restructuring involving significant staff reductions. On November 4, 2025, 79 employees were dismissed, with an additional 63 positions to be cut by 2028 through further layoffs and retirements. In total, 152 jobs will be eliminated across all areas of the agency.
The process has caused shock and concern among staff, who were informed by email and supported by union representatives. As part of the restructuring, the agency will merge with the Agricultural and Fisheries Agency on January 1, 2026.
