Description
The German defence company Diehl Defence, headquartered in Überlingen (Baden-Württemberg), announced on 21 November 2025 that it plans to create 2,000 new jobs in Germany by 2030. By expanding its production, the company is responding to increased demand given the recent geopolitical landscape.
Diehl Defence is part of the Nuremberg-based Diehl Group and currently employs 5,000 people, 2,000 of whom are in Überlingen. Since 2022, the number of employees has doubled. A new development centre for up to 500 employees will be established in Überlingen by the end of 2027.
