Description
As announced on 5 November 2025, Oventorp, the German manufacturer of valves and fittings for water supply, heating and cooling, plans to relocate its assembly department from Brilon (North Rhine-Westphalia) to Szydlowiec, Poland, by the end of 2026. This will affect 185 employees in Brilon.
The company states that this step is intended to further advance the international orientation of the Oventrop Group and ensure sustainable growth. At the same time, the administration, plastics production, and testing laboratory departments will move from the Olsberg site to Brilon, making Brilon the new headquarters in Germany. By concentrating these activities in Germany, Oventrop intends to facilitate internal processes increasing efficiency.
IG Metall will now seek a reconciliation of interests and negotiate a social plan.
Oventrop employs around 1,000 people in Olsberg and Brilon.
