Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Dansk Retursystem, operator of Denmark’s nationwide deposit-return system for cans and bottles, has inaugurated a new high-tech factory in Fredericia on November 6, creating about 120 jobs. Covering 13,000 square meters, the plant will be the largest deposit recycling plant in Denmark and process around three million cans and bottles daily from Jutland and Funen.
This expansion responds to rising volumes of returned packaging and strengthens Denmark’s circular infrastructure. The fully automated facility enhances efficiency, ensures high-quality recycling. It represents a major milestone in the company’s 25-year history and supports the green transition.
