Description
Cremonini Group's Inalca has initiated mobility procedures for 160 employees at the Reggio Emilia facility, devastated by fire during the night of February 10-11. The measure anticipates expiration of extraordinary unemployment benefits for ceased activity ending December (with possible extension through February 2026).
Trade unions led by Flai CGIL are negotiating employee reallocation to other group sites, continuing current practices, though no agreement has been reached. The company does not necessarily intend dismissing all personnel despite the formal procedure.
The Reggio Emilia "Amianto Zero" demands immediate dismissal withdrawal, genuine crisis table with concrete worker guarantees, serious reindustrialization plan for via Due Canali or rapid alternative Reggio Emilia site identification maintaining all employment levels, and recognition of health damage from prolonged degraded asbestos exposure with immediate free continuous health monitoring.
