Description
Knoll Maschinenbau, a German family-owned machine manufacturer, has announced plans to cut 140 jobs at its headquarters in Bad Saulgau. The company disclosed the planned reductions on 28 October 2025, with implementation scheduled by December 2025.
The job cuts will affect both production and administrative roles. According to management, the decision was driven by the ongoing weakness in the economy. Namely, the company was challenged by the higher costs and fewer orders.
To avoid compulsory redundancies, the company has developed a voluntary exit programme in cooperation with the works council, ensuring the restructuring process is carried out in a socially responsible manner.
Knoll Maschinenbau currently employs approximately 1,200 people worldwide, about 1,100 of them at its Bad Saulgau site.
