Description
PSW automotive engineering, a German subsidiary of Audi, announced to cut about 30% of its workforce of 1,000, accounting to approximately 300 job cuts. About a third of these job cuts are due to the expected closing of the company’s location in Neckarsulm, where the company employs around 100 workers . This plan was announced by the management on 23 October 2025.
The firm attributes the closing to the parent company Audi, which is severely affected by the automotive industry crisis. Audi is confronted with declining sales while facing increasing costs.
The company does not intend to carry out any operational redundancies. The work council and IG Metall plan negotiations in the next few weeks. The trade union aims to preserve the jobs and the site in Neckarsulm.
PSW has 1,000 employees in total: about 900 in Gaimersheim and 100 in Neckarsulm.
