Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Metal Carpenteria will hire 137 employees following expansion of its maritime state concession at Crotone port. Extraordinary Commissioner of the Southern Tyrrhenian and Ionian Seas Port System Authority and company legal representative signed the agreement expanding the industrial site beyond existing concession No. 20/2024 issued September 10, 2024.
The new concession covers 17,239 square meters of maritime state land in Porto Nuovo district.
The industrial port zone will support welding of metal carpentry modules partially manufactured at company workshops and assembled at port for installation in overseas liquefied gas treatment production plants. Manufacturing dimensions necessitate port-area completion ensuring dedicated naval transport.
The investment plan aims to expand production range with technologically advanced equipment satisfying current and future market demands. Based on Metal Carpenteria's order acquisitions potentially continuing with substantial public sector demand increases, investment completion would establish the company as Southern Italy's largest sector operator within 18-24 months.
