European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The paperboard manufacturer Metsä Board, part of the conglomerate Metsä Group, has initiated cooperation negotiations affecting 155 positions in Finland. In total, 315 positions are expected to be terminated worldwide Metsä Board 2025 - EU . The cooperation negotiations comprise the whole staff across all functions.
The cooperation negotiations follow the publication of a company saving and competitiveness programme in the summer of 2025. Metsä Board is aspiring to achieve savings of €200 million.
The parent company Metsä Group has simultaneously announced plans to cut 540 jobs in Finland, to which the numbers from Metsä Board are includedMetsä Group 2025 - FI. Metsä Group employs approximately 5,600 persons in Finland.

Metsä Board has finalised the cooperation negotiations, resulting in the dismissal of 150 staff.
