Description
As announced on 15 October 2025, the German telecommunications company Deutsche Glasfaser plans to cut between 200 and 250 jobs across Germany. Around 50 positions could be eliminated in Saarlouis, Saarland, where 400 people are currently employed. The largest site is the headquarters in Borken, with 700 employees, and job cuts may also occur there. Deutsche Glasfaser is currently discussing details with the works council. The company intends to focus on connecting waiting customers, where infrastructure is already in place, rather than continuing to expand the network.
