Description
The Swedish hotel group, ESS Group, is opening a new five-star resort in Køge, aiming to reshape perceptions of Danish coastal tourism. The Rox Resort will feature pools, restaurants, bars, and conference facilities, and is expected to create 200 local jobs. The resort is taking bookings since July and the opening is planned for 1 November 2025.
With over 2,000 job applications received, interest has exceeded expectations. The resort targets both Scandinavian and international guests, including markets in the U.S. and Southeast Asia. This development marks ESS Group’s expansion into Denmark and reflects a strategic shift toward international hospitality and regional economic growth.
