Description
As announced on 24 September 2025, the German manufacturer of complete chassis systems for trucks and semi-trucks, BPW Bergische Achsen, plans to cut 100 jobs at its headquarters in Wiehl (North Rhine-Westphalia) over the next two years.
The goal of this restructuring exercise is to secure their competitiveness and respond to the declining demand by the transport industry. The company emphasises their concern with the workers, aiming to implement the job cuts in a socially responsible manner via natural fluctuation and attempting to avoid compulsory redundancies.
BPW Bergische Achsen employs 6,500 people worldwide across 28 countries, including 1,500 at its headquarters in Wiehl.
