Description
The consultancy company KPMG has concluded cooperation negotiations resulting in the dismissal of 151 staff across all units and functions.
KPMG states that the general insecurity in the market has resulted in lower demand. The company also states that restructuring was a result of changes in skill needs as well as working modes. The company has however made a better result in 2025 than in the previous budget year (€255,9 million vis-a-vis €241,4 million).
The trade union Suomen Ekonomit has been contacted by multiple dismissed employees, who argue that the cooperation negotiation process has not been a true negotiation, and has only barely met the minimum requirements of the recently amended Co-operation Act 1333/2021.
KPMG had approximately 1,841 employees in Finland in September, 2024.
