UniCredit, an Italian banking group, has announced that it will create about 225 jobs in Europe, 25 of which have been created already in digital teams across Italy, Germany, and Poland. A further 140 jobs in Germany Unicredit 2025-DE and 60 in Italy are to follow, as part of its strategy to streamline post-trade securities services.
The bank has entered partnerships with BNP Paribas for custody services and with FNZ for a cloud-based platform to support back-office and digital operations. UniCredit aims to standardise structures in Italy and Germany and become more operationally efficient.
