Description
Electrolux Professional, a Swedish company in the coffee equipment industry, has announced that it will cut around 350 jobs worldwide by 2027.
So far, the company has revealed that the measures will affect its sites in France and Switzerland. The company is evaluating the relocation of its coffee machine production from Carros (France) to Aubusson (France), affecting approximately 40 employees. In addition, it is considering the relocation of cooking equipment production from Sursee (Switzerland) to Pordenone (Italy), impacting around 50 employees. While 350 employees are expected to be affected overall, the net job reduction will be around 200, as new roles are planned to support a strategic ‘competence shift’, including greater use of digital tools and stronger focus on sales and marketing. Consultations with trade unions and employee representatives are ongoing. The measures are part of a cost reduction strategy.
Electrolux Professional, which employs 4,300 people globally, has been an independent company since its separation from the Electrolux Group in 2020.
