Description
The German defense contractor MBDA Deutschland plans to create 600 new jobs in production and development in Schrobenhausen, thereby increasing the number of employees at the site from 1,100 to 1,700.
The new hires will primarily be made in connection with the expansion of production of Patriot missiles and other defense equipment, including anti-drone weapons. Planned measures include active recruitment and redeployment of skilled workers from the automotive industry.
MBDA Germany is a leading manufacturer of warheads, safety devices, and ignition systems for guided missiles, employing a total of around 1,400 people in Germany.
As announced on 21 November 2025, MBDA plans to increase the number of employees at the Schrobenhausen site to 1,900 instead of 1,700, corresponding to a total job increase of 800 positions at the site. Having hired 300 employees since the initial announcement, the company states that the coming 500 jobs will be created over the next year.
