Description
The Danish government has announced the establishment of a state-run naval shipbuilding facility in Frederikshavn, following a political agreement to modernize the fleet with 26 new vessels. The restructuring includes constructing large-scale infrastructure to support military ship production, expected to create 500–700 jobs. The location was chosen for its proximity to an existing naval base, enhancing operational efficiency. Additionally, funding will be allocated to improve surveillance and satellite capabilities, strengthening Denmark’s real-time response to security threats and supporting broader societal safety efforts.
