Description
Zespół Elektrowni Pątnów Adamów Konin, operating in the coal mining industry, is set to reduce its workforce at the Tomisławice open-pit mine resulting in nearly 90 layoffs.
Coal mining at Tomisławice will end by April next year at the most, so the workforce will be reduced from 270 to 182 by the end of the year. The laid-off employees can take advantage of a shield programme that includes, among other things, severance payments from the state budget.
The Tomisławice open pit is the last active mine belonging to the Zespół Elektrowni Pątnów Adamów Konin; it has been in operation for 15 years.
