Description
The Swedish specialist online bank Intergiro has filed for bankruptcy, which may result in the job loss of the bank’s total staff of 111 employees, based on 2023 numbers.
Finansinspektionen, the Swedish government authority tasked with monitoring the financial market, revoked Intergiros' permit in June 2025, due to identified risks in the banks’ operations. Finansinspektionen found that the services of the bank could be used for money laundering and financing terrorism. The bank must cease operations by 19 September 2025.
Intergiro specialised in card payment services and payment accounts.
