Description
Maiaspace, a subsidiary of the French Arianespace company, is recruiting 160 employees for its new factory in Vernon. Since 2021, the company has aimed to build the first European reusable space launcher. This will also create competition for the American company SpaceX as France develops its industrial and scientific autonomy. The project is being funded by the French government, private funds, and regional funds. Four ministers were present at the opening of the site.
The company grew from 20 employees in 2023 to 230 in mid-2025.
