Description
Stellantis has announced 265 voluntary departures at its Cassino facility. The Piedimonte San Germano plant will see staff numbers fall below 2,100 direct employees, with 250 positions affected at the main facility and 15 in security operations.
According to territorial secretary of Fiom-CGIL (trade union) for Frosinone and Latina, the plant has operated only 48 days out of 98, reflecting broader operational challenges. Fiom-CGIL declined to sign the departure agreement, citing lack of future employment guarantees and industrial planning.
Fiom-CGIL called for direct intervention from the new CEO and urged the Prime Minister's office to convene discussions addressing the automotive sector crisis. The union demands concrete industrial plans, investment commitments, and employment regeneration rather than continued workforce reductions affecting regional economic stability
