Description
Yanmar Compact Equipment, a Japanese manufacturer in the mechanical engineering sector, is cutting around 290 jobs at its production site in Crailsheim (Baden Württemberg), which will be closed by the end of 2025. 50 employees in central functions are to be transferred to Rothenburg ob der Tauber (Bavaria).
The closure is being carried out to increase productivity and efficiency, which will be relocated entirely to the Saint-Dizier site (France). This will primarily affect production jobs.
The company has announced that it will work with the works council to find a socially acceptable solution.
