Description
Dansk Flygtningehjælp (Danish Refugee Council), a humanitarian organisation headquartered in Copenhagen, has announced the reduction of 650 positions globally due to the loss of major funding partners, including USAID. Of these, 100 jobs are to be cut at the Danish headquarters. The restructuring aims to adjust the organisation’s footprint following funding shortfalls and includes a shift to regionally led country programmes. Since February 2024, DRC has cut 1,300 jobs, and once the new cuts are completed, it will employ approximately 5,600 people across 28 countries. The changes were announced in May 2025.
