Description

The electric car developer Zeekr Technology Europe has announced the layoff of 280 employees in Gothenburg, Sweden, which is approximately 40 per cent of the company's workforce in Sweden.

According to the company, the layoffs are a necessary part of reducing operational costs and increasing efficiency. The company has started negotiations with trade union representatives. Zeekr will additionally review its contracts with external consultants.

Zeekr Technology Europe is part of the Chinese Geely Holding Group and has approximately 720 employees in Sweden.
