European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
ProSiebenSat.1 Media, a German media company in the broadcasting and digital media sector based in Unterföhring, announced in May 2025 the reduction of around 430 full-time positions as part of a group-wide reorganisation. Central company divisions are affected.
The reason for the measure is the digital transformation and the focus on greater efficiency and cost savings. The reduction will take place from the second quarter of 2025 in a socially responsible manner via a voluntary program with severance payments. There are no plans for compulsory redundancies. An agreement has been reached with the employee representatives on the procedure.
ProSiebenSat.1 employs around 7,000 people. The last internal restructuring took place in July 2023 ProSiebenSat.1 Media - DE.
