European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The American company Otis, specialising in global manufacturing services, sales, maintenance, and repair of elevators has announced that it will present a job reduction plan at the next Social and Economic committee meeting. The plan that has been negotiated along with trade unions and plans to eliminate 114 jobs, including 24 management positions out of the company 4700 employees. The job cuts are lower than the initial estimate of 136. This restructuring comes amidst a difficult economic climate that is currently affecting the company.
