Description
Puma, a German sporting goods manufacturer based in Herzogenaurach (Bavaria), is cutting up to 150 jobs in Germany at its headquarters in Herzogenaurach. This reorganisation is part of a larger measure in which Puma is cutting a total of 500 jobs worldwide Puma - WO.
The measure was announced in 2025 and is part of a cost-cutting programme in response to insufficient profitability. The reduction will take place without compulsory redundancies, but through natural fluctuation, not filling vacant positions, and a planned volunteer programme.
A reaction from the social partners is not yet known; however, the company emphasises the socially responsible implementation of the measure.
Puma employs over 18,000 people worldwide and is one of the three largest sporting goods manufacturers in the world.
