Description
The restructuring affects 120 jobs at Edouard Denis, a subsidiary of Nexity, France's leading property developer since 2023.
According to the subsidiary's CEO, Fabien Acerbis, the new construction sector is suffering from post-Covid construction cost increases and the end of the Pinel law (tax relief on rental investments) without any compensatory measures or equivalent provisions.
This restructuring plan is in line with Nexity's strategy of refocusing its activities and reducing its debt.
Last year, Nexity also separated its property condominium syndicate activities, which were sold in April 2024.
Three previous factsheets concerned Nexity group have documented significant restructuring events in the ERM database, the most recent noting a loss of 502 jobs due to an internal restructuring Nexity 2023 - FR.
