The French group Kaporal specialises in ready-to-wear clothing and whose head office is located in Marseille (Les Bouches-du-Rhone) was placed in receivership by the Marseille Commercial Court. A takeover plan by three group executives was approved by the commercial court in July 2023. It announced the immediate cessation of all its operations and activities on March 29th. The website already displays "Permanent Closure". This led to the layoff of 280 employees. The group had already been placed in receivership two years ago due to unprecedented economic difficulties.
