Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Flowbird, a mobility application provider, is recruiting 100 workers in France as part of its integration with Swedish competitor EasyPark, which recently acquired the company. The recruitment aims to support the merging of their platforms. However, the acquisition has raised concerns among trade union representatives, who criticize the increasing financial strain on the company. They argue that rising debt and a lack of investment funds have led to heightened pressure on employees, potentially affecting working conditions and long-term stability.
Flowbird employs 2,000 people, with the majority based in Besançon.
