Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Microsoft España, the Spanish subsidiary of the IT and information services company from the United States, has opened a new European digital sales centre in Barcelona, Spain. Microsoft plans to hire 250 people at the centre, with an initial staff of 44 employees, 59% of whom are women. The company is recruiting professionals with different profiles, including technical specialists, cloud architects and solution specialists.
The centre will offer services in ten languages, including Spanish, German and Norwegian, and will serve companies in 13 European countries, including Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland. The Director of Business at Microsoft Ibérica has highlighted the appeal of Barcelona as a hub for attracting technology professionals from all over Europe.
