Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

D’Aucy France, a canned food manufacturer and subsidiary of Eureden, is planning to cut around 150 jobs between 2025 and 2027 as part of a restructuring effort.
The company will begin with 63 voluntary departures in 2025, primarily in its support branches. Over the next two years, an additional 80 positions will be eliminated as the company streamlines its packaging plants. Support measures such as training and internal mobility will be offered to some employees.
This decision is driven by increasing competition from foreign markets and shifts in consumer behaviour following the COVID-19 pandemic. In response to these challenges, the company aims to enhance its resilience and adaptability.
D’Aucy France currently employs 1,300 workers.
