Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

In February 2025, the American software developer Unity Technologies notified its employees of another round of layoffs, the sixth one since 2022. In Finland, the layoffs could result in the redundancy of 45 jobs. The exact number of affected employees worldwide is still unknown. According to company management, the layoffs are part of reorganisation measures. Earlier rounds of layoffs have resulted in a total loss of around 3,500 employees, but the exact impact on Finnish employees is not specified.
According to the latest available numbers from 2023, Unity employed around 272 persons in Finland.
