Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Orano Projects, specialized in nuclear fuel cycle engineering, is recruiting 350 workers in 2025, in part at its site in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin (Manche). In Cherbourg, the company recently inaugurated a new facility, consolidating its engineering activities. The construction and furnishing of the site stimulated the local economy, involving around fifty businesses. On February 26th, the building was officially opened and can accommodate up to 560 employees.
In 2024, Orano Projects hired 515 new workers, including 200 in the Nord-Cotentin. The company currently has a total workforce of 1,000 employees, excluding its 500 subcontractors.
