Ciner Glass, an international glass production group has announced it intends to expand its activities at the facility in Lommel. In total around 500 additional employees will be able to work at the facility. In total the expansion will lead to an investment of 600 million euro, making it one of the biggest investments in Belgium in recent years. A significant amount of the production of the plant will be used for bottling beer, this is one of the reasons why a facility in Flanders was opted for.
