Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

UBS, a Swiss financial services provider, will close its Warsaw office and lay off 1,200 people.
UBS has been laying off employees worldwide since last year. The decision follows the crisis in the shared service centre sector, which is linked to problems in the automotive industry. UBS will lay off its employees from its Warsaw office, around 7% of its total Polish workforce annually between 2025 and 2026 (resulting in around 1,200 redundancies). The existing offices in Kraków and Wrocław will continue to operate. Employees at various positions and levels will be made redundant.
UBS is a Swiss financial company, that provides financial services in more than 50 countries. It is involved in private, investment and institutional banking.
