Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The Swedish insurance company Folksam has announced that 90 jobs will be cut in the company's IT department. The job cuts are part of a savings program announced in 2024, intending to decrease costs by in total of SEK 1.45 billion (€129.9 million).
According to a company representative, negotiations have been held with union representatives and the final number of employees who in the end will lose their jobs is not yet known.
The IT department has about 750 employees and Folksam has in total about 3,500 employees in Sweden. The organisational changes will enter into force on 1 May 2025.
