Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Ardagh Group, a global supplier of metal and glass packaging, has announced plans to cut 320 jobs in Europe.
The layoffs will affect employees across glass manufacturing facilities in Germany and the Netherlands. According to the source, the programme includes the proposed closure of a glass production facility in Drebkau, Germany. The conditions of the programme will be negotiated with employee representatives according to local regulations. The restructuring comes as a response to declining demand.
Headquartered in Luxembourg, Ardagh operates 60 metal and glass production facilities in 16 countries worldwide. The group employs approximately 20,000 people.
