Description

Croatian Post is embarking on the process of reorganisation and modernisation by firing 500 workers from the administration. This marks the beginning of a rationalisation and reorganisation that should create conditions for raising salaries.

Many workers in administrative positions will soon receive an offer for amicable termination of employment contracts with severance pay. The management of Croatian Post has been working with external consultants for six months on a proposal for restructuring the company.

Across Croatia, there is a serious shortage of postmen in logistics centers and delivery offices. Through robotisation, automation, the use of artificial intelligence, and the implementation of modern systems, administrative processes are changing significantly. Therefore, some of the administrative staff may choose to stay employed in these jobs, but due to the age and the type of work, it is not expected that many will accept to stay.
