Carrefour Polska, the retail chain, plans to lay off 340 employees across Poland in group action.
The decision was taken due to the company's market difficulties. As a result, the company is planning to remodel shops and reduce their space to improve profitability. Employees, mainly in Warsaw and Bydgoszcz, are to lose their jobs. On 29 January 2025, the company filed a notification of planned group layoffs with the Warsaw labour office. Consultations with trade unions are due to end on 18 February.
Carrefour Polska is part of the French retail chain.
