Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Medical device manufacturing company, Aerogen, is to create 725 new jobs in Ireland over the next ten years. The Irish company is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of respiratory nebulisers.
The new jobs, part of a €300m expansion supported by Enterprise Ireland, will be based at the Irish company’s sites in Galway and Shannon. The new roles will include research and development (R&D), manufacturing, science and engineering.
When the new roles are in place the company’s global workforce will be at 2,000.
