Description
Multinational fast-food chain McDonald’s is to create 1,000 jobs in Ireland over the next four years as it plans a €40 million expansion. The company previously invested a similar amount between 2018 and 2023 in order to refurbish existing outlets and the open new restaurants. A Social and Economic Impact Report published by McDonald’s stated that the company contributed €414.6 million to the Irish economy in 2023.
McDonald’s has operated in Ireland since 1977 and currently has 95 restaurants in Ireland, all of which are franchise operations.
The company currently employs 8,800 people across Ireland.
