Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The ferry operator GNV has announced plans to recruit 500 new staff members across Italy in 2025. The recruitment campaign foresees a total of 12 hiring events planned nationwide, starting from Sicily.
In partnership with Sviluppo Lavoro Italia and local Job Centres, the initiative starts in Palermo before moving to other port cities including Catania, Trapani, Bari, Taranto, Naples, Trieste, Ravenna, and Genoa.
The recruitment drive seeks candidates for various maritime positions. These include IT personnel, office staff, hospitality workers, chefs, electricians, and engineering officers. Candidates without maritime experience will be considered for positions, with the company providing support for necessary qualifications and training.
