Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Rigspolitiet’s IT department will reduce its workforce by 50 positions due to budget constraints, as confirmed by the IT director, who cites higher-than-expected costs for new systems and EU-mandated border controls.
Koncern IT employs around 500 staff, making it Rigspolitiet’s largest division. The organization spans multiple locations and aims to modernize and maintain stable, secure operations despite these cutbacks. The new IT systems were initially planned for 2022 but are now delayed until December 2025, pushing costs above 1.5 billion kroner.
