Description

Scandi Byg, a major modular construction company, declared bankruptcy in January 2025 due to significant losses from two large construction projects. Nordic Wood Industries, which purchased Scandi Byg in 2023, has been working alongside bankruptcy administrators to salvage parts of the company. As a result, a restructured, smaller Scandi Byg will continue operations, focusing on simpler projects. Approximately 85 out of 200 employees will be rehired. The restructuring effort aims to complete ongoing projects and stabilize the company’s future, though specific details of the reorganization remain uncertain.
