Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The Swedish-Swiss group Tetra Pak has announced plans to close its Longvic (Dijon) plant, causing 207 job losses. The site, founded in 1971, has been facing a significant drop in production for several years, despite investments made to try to turn the situation around. Nonetheless, the Tetra Pak group will still maintain its other activities in France.
The Longvic plant is a key part of the local economy, with sales reaching €26 million by 2023. It currently employs 207 people, excluding subcontractors and retailers indirectly dependent on its activity. An information and consultation process has been launched with the trade unions and social partners, and a psychosocial risk prevention unit has been set up to support employees.
