Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

EDF, the national electricity producer, is hiring 300 workers in Brittany in 2025. The company is expanding, with new investments in wind turbines and other renewable energy projects. Additionally, in Brennilis, 100 to 140 workers will be mobilized to dismantle a nuclear reactor.
In the previous year, 400 workers were hired in the region: EDF 2024 - FR](https://apps.eurofound.europa.eu/restructuring-events/detail/201222, as part of a large recruitment campaign. The group directly employs 3,070 workers in Brittany and estimates an additional 7,600 are employed indirectly.
