Description
Moelven Byggmodul, a producer of industrially manufactured wooden building modules, has given notice to 70 employees, out of which 50 are blue-collar and 20 white-collar employees. Most of the dismissals affect their site in Säffle, although some may take place at their other sites in Torsby and Kil.
The company states that the current dismissals are necessary due to low demand and economically tough years in the construction sector. Moelven Byggmodul already cut 100 jobs due to low demand for their products in 2023 Moelven Byggmodul 2023 - SE.
Moelven Byggmodul has approximately 430 employees in Sweden. Moelven Byggmodul is part of the Moelven group, which includes 34 companies in the construction sector with 3,300 employees and production facilities in Norway and Sweden. Moelven Modus in Norway, which belongs to the same company group, held cooperation negotiations in Spring 2024 Moelven Modus 2024 - NO.
