European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Diageo, alcohol company, has confirmed the closure of its only Italian plant in Santa Vittoria d'Alba, affecting 349 workers. During the meeting on 14 January 2025 at Confindustria Cuneo, the company guaranteed employment until June 2025, with final closure scheduled for June 2026.
The Social Plan, to be presented on 24 January, will include redeployment, outplacement and voluntary redundancy packages. Ernst & Young will support the search for a buyer over the next six months, while trade unions expressed strong concerns. The company and the trade unions will meet again to discuss on the 14 February.
