The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
American automotive supplier BorgWarner has announced plans to reduce its workforce in Landskrona by approximately 130 employees, though the exact number is still unclear, influenced partly by retirements.
The company cites the global reduction in demand for electric vehicles as the main driving force behind the announced layoffs, which has resulted in a slowdown in both production and sales for the company.
Borg Warner has been operating in Landskrona since the 1990s and has been producing electric motors for both trucks and passenger cars at the site since 2020.
